Winter Wear

I’ve been focusing a lot on winter wear lately. Coats, hats, scarves and boots, the girls are all taken care of but it seems that every year, I forget to get myself ready for winter. This year that has to change! I am in desperate need of a winter coat and some winter boots. I’ve already found my coat; the hard part is actually getting to the store to purchase it. I’ve also found a really cute pair of boots from UGG Mayfaire, the hard part with that is convincing my husband to let me spend the money on them. I’m so picky when it comes to boots, but these are really cute. Anyone have any ideas on some good convincing?

Oh My!!

I was going to save this for my next Wordless Wednesday, but I just can't, it's way too funny.

We're still at my parents place in Canada and yesterday my mom got the girls some scissors and craft things (markers, construction paper, glue etc). Well Lyric decided it would be a good idea to do some drawing and cutting this morning. It was all well and good until she came up to me and said: "Mommy do you want to see what I made you?" I said "Sure".

I almost laughed so hard I choked....I had to grab the camera, she wasn't sure what was so funny. I asked her what it was. She said "I traced my scissors all by myself and then colored them". All I could say was "Wow, good job, let mommy take a picture because you did such a great job".

How do you think she did? LMAO

She's my daughter, that's for sure, at least that's what everyone is telling me now LOL....

Stuff for Spouts Winter Sale!

With the winter approaching wouldn’t you love to avoid the “winter crunchies” on your skin? I sure know I would. There’s this great skin care products for kids (or yourself) called Stuff for Sprouts, you may have seen my past review on them (review).

I wanted to let you all know about the BIG Winter sale they’re having right now. EVERYTHING on their website (and I mean EVERYTHING) is now 40-50% off from now until the New Year! WOW!

Why are they doing this? Here’s their reasoning:

1) It is starting to get cold out - and this is the time when everyone needs
start using some really good skin care products on their kids (and
themselves, if they'd like!) - To avoid the dreaded winter crunchies.

2) The economy stinks..And I would rather have this great stuff helping kids
out there than sitting in a warehouse.

3) It is time for shopping! (In the cold...with the terrible economy) And
who doesn't love a sale?

As an extra added bonus Stuff for Sprouts has provided A Wrestling Addicted Mommy readers with an ADDITIONAL 10% discount off their already insanely reduced prices on the website. That’s right ON TOP of the 40-50% off they already have, by using the code WNTRXTRA on any order before the end of the year you will get an EXTRA 10% off.

So what are you waiting for? Stop by Stuff for Sprouts by visiting their website www.stuff4sprouts.com

Stuff for Sprouts also provides a percentage of their sales to First Book, a non-profit dedicated to bringing books to kids who would not otherwise have them.

The World Heavyweight Champ once again.

It's actually been a while since I've talked about my addiction! I just realized that, I've been so busy with other things, other posts, reviews and giveaways that I've stopped posting about my favorite thing in the world. WRESTLING!!!!

For those of you who do follow, this past Sunday was the Cyber Sunday PPV. I admit, this is the first year I didn't take part in the voting, because honestly I really don't think it matters much, the outcomes in my opinion (and those of others) have already been pre-determined and I really don't think the viewers choice matters too much.

Being up in Canada, all the times are screwed up for wrestling, so I really do miss shows while I'm up here but I did end up catching Cyber Sunday. I had my own little victory of the night....

MY MAN HAS HIS BELT!!!!!!!!

That's right, my second husband (hehehe) Batista has the World Heavyweight Championship Belt. How ecstatic am I, he so deserves it, and it doesn't look better on anyone else but him!

I mean come on, could Jericho seriously beat Batista? I think not! Another great thing about the match, STONE COLD Steve Austin as the special guest referee! Which as soon as they made that an ‘option’ of choices to vote for, you already knew it was going to happen, why even bother having a stupid little vote for that.

It should be an interesting next few weeks/months. With Cena returning and Orton as well, I’m sure there will be a great feud between Batista for that belt.

The only other match I was really interested in was the Triple-H/Jeff Hardy match, which was great as to be expected. Here’s a rundown of the matches and wins that went on.

  • U.S. champion Shelton Benjamin defeated K-Kwik, Ron Killings umm I mean R-Truth
  • Divas Halloween costume contest: Micki James wins
  • John Morrison and The Miz defeated Cryme Tyme (is anyone else sick of seeing this match over and over and over again?)
  • Intercontinental Champ Santino Marella was defeated by The Honky Tonk Man (by disqualification)
  • No Holds Barred match Rey Mysterio defeated Kane
  • Evan Bourne lost to ECW Champion Matt Hardy
  • Last Man Standing match The Undertaker defeated The Big Show (of course)
  • WWE Champ Triple H defeated Jeff Hardy (so sad, I can’t wait to see Jeff finally win)
  • Batista wins the World Heavyweight title over Chris Jericho
So any of you out there who do watch wrestling, did you watch Cyber Sunday? What did you think?

Say "BOO!" to the Flu

Often times around here you see me doing a lot of product review posts for Mom Central. Well this time they have decided to do a blog tour for a charitable cause, a non-profit organization called Families Fighting Flu. This organization is made up of parents who have lost a child to the flu.

With the cold and flu season right around the corner I know my house is already full of coughs, sneezes, sniffles and groans as I’m sure your family household is as well. A a family we do not opt in to do the flu vaccines as we’re all healthy and I’d rather they be used for those who really need it. That being said there are a lot of families out there (ours included) who need to be educated about the importance of flu prevention this time of year.

Families Fighting Flu has partnered with the Say “Boo!” to the flu program to help bring flu prevention education to families across America. Part of the program involves Visiting Nurse Associations of America hosting different flu vaccination events across the country which encourage those families who need it to get vaccinated.

The program’s website www.saybootoflu.com brings helpful flu prevention tips, videos and activities to help kids (and families) learn about preventing the flu by washing their hands and other helpful tips like how to teach your children about germs. They also provide vaccination information related to your local area should you opt to get vaccinated.

Yoga for your feet

I was recently introduced a great product called Yoga Sandals. Now I’m not really into Yoga, although I should be I’ve heard such great things about it, but I had to try out these sandals.

You see, yoga sandals are not really meant for actually performing Yoga, they were designed to almost act like you are actually performing yoga by giving you better balance and alignment. It’s been noticed by people who have worn the sandals that they’ve made a big improvement to their alignment and in the care of their feet.

The sandals are also great (and were first invented for this) for pedicures. If you notice Yoga Sandals separate each toe, so it make them great for use when getting pedicures, it keeps your polish safe while your nails are drying.

At first I was a little hesitant to how comfortable they would actually be, but I honestly love them. I was told it could take a while to adjust to them and be comfortable, but from day 1 I wear these sandals almost every day around the house, they’re much more comfortable than my usual flip flops which amazed me.

So if you’re having problems with your feet, or body alignment or just need a pair of great sandals to head over to your next pedicure in, make sure you visit Yoga Sandals at their website www.yogasandals.com where you can find a variety of selection of sandals, you can also find some cute little charms to accessorize your sandals and make them uniquely yours.

WIN IT!!

Although we’re getting to this late, in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, Yoga Sandals wants to give away a pair of their Pink Ribbon Yoga Sandals every day for the remainder of October. Show off those straps...

I have a pet peeve, although it’s something that I’ve done before as well, I still hate it!!! My pet peeve, when you can see visible bra straps. It annoys me to no end, it looks horrible, it’s not cute, nor does it look fashionable. That is unless it’s a Strappy that’s showing. These great inventions are something that makes showing your bra strap far less tacky and a lot more fashionable.

Strappy’s
are decorative, chic, and fashionable bra straps that you can show off without any fears. These interchangeable straps will make any outfit fabulous instead of frumpy when there’s a possibility that a bra strap is going to show, and when you have on a pair of Strappy’s believe me, you’ll want to show them off.

Strappy’s almost eliminates the necessity to find a bra that matches your outfit, in fact you can use almost any of your bra’s with any outfit once you put on the Strappy’s. With Jewelry Straps, Beaded Straps, and Fabric Straps you can make any of your convertible bras fit into any outfit and look good.

I wish I had found these sooner, I just love my rhinestone Strappy’s and could have really used these in the summer when I had more than one outfit or shirt that had a tendency to show my bra strap, instead of the ugly usual ones, I could have shown off these beautiful, chic ones instead.

Men are you stuck on what to get your wife/girlfriend for the holidays this year? Visit www.strappys.com and check out what they have to offer. Strappy’s would be a great gift for any woman for the holidays. The price is right, sizing isn't an issue, and she won't get duplicates!

WIN IT!!!

You have a chance right here to win a pair of Strappy’s for yourself (or someone else). Strappy’s has offered to giveaway one pair of Rhinestone Strappy’s to one of my readers. To enter, just visit the Strappy’s Website and take a look around, then come back here and leave me a comment on which one of their “styles” you like best!

This Little Piggy....

I have a couple of girly girls. They love makeup, nail polish, getting their hair done, shoes and clothes it’s fun, but at times, like when I’m trying to do my own makeup and my own nails, it can become annoying because well, they want to join in too.

With things like my nail polish, I really hate to give it to them to try to do themselves, some of it takes a while to dry, and especially with my youngest, I really don’t like the fact that her fingers go in her mouth so much with nail polish on. I’ve now found a little solution to my problems for the girls, now they can have their own nail polish instead of trying to get into mine all the time.

Piggy Paint is a non-toxic fingernail polish made just for little girls (or boys too I guess). The inventor of piggy paint is a mom who a 2 year old and a 4 year old who, just like mine, love to get their fingernails painted, but she like myself was a bit worried about the toxins and the girls putting their freshly painted nails in their mouths, so she decided to come up with a polish that is not flammable and one that is water based with natural ingredients and made in the USA!

Piggy Paint is non-toxic, odorless, water based, hypoallergic and also comes in vibrant fun colors and dries as a hard finish. It also dries pretty quickly as well; we found that in about 60 seconds or less the paint was dry on the girl’s nails.

The girls loved their piggy paint and the fun colors it came in, if you check out the website they give some great tips and suggestions for putting Piggy Paint on your child’s nails as well as great ways to use Piggy Paint as a learning tool for children.

Piggy Paint also has their own nail polish remover as well that is also non-toxic, odorless, hypoallergenic, biodegradable, made from natural ingredients, and doesn’t contain any acetone. I was pretty impressed with the remover, and likely will use it for my own purposes as well because I can’t stand the smell of normal nail polish remover. Another plus is they’ve added Aloe Very and Vitamin E to the remover as well to supplement the natural oils that product nails and cuticles.

I think Piggy Paint would be a great stocking stuffer this year for Christmas. To check out all of their products and colors visit Piggy Paint via their website www.piggypaint.com

WIN IT!!!

Piggy Paint has provided me with one of their great gift sets for one of my readers. If you enter, one lucky reader has the chance to win the Mistletoes Gift Set which will include: a set of 3 Piggy Paint nail polish in red, green and clear sparkle top coat. As well a bottle of their Piggy Paint Remover will be included as well. To enter simply head over to Piggy Paint and let me know what your favorite color of nail polish that they offer is.

This giveaway is open to those INTERNATIONALLY!!! And is open to non bloggers, PLEASE just remember if your blog profile is private, or you’re a non blogger, leave an email address or your entry will be disqualified....Winner will be chosen via random.org

So from me the winner will get a $10 Starbucks gift card in US currency (which means this giveaway is for those in the US Only, sorry :( )

To enter, instead of the usual "what's your favorite drink?" question, just let me know if you've been to my blog before, or if this is your first visit.

The giveaway will close October 31, 2008 @ 11:59pm and I'll also give you LOTS of other chances to win this, here they are.....

InstallShield Update Service

Computers are so important today in our lives. It seems like everything I do now has a computer related to it in one way or another, I honestly can’t tell you one person that doesn’t have computer technology somehow in their home. We do need to be able to use this technology and understand it as users though and unfortunately a lot of people don’t and rely on other’s to help them.

We need to be able to at least perform functions at optimal capacity when working with computers be it with the hardware or software. Software especially needs to be research and learned and the user has to have the ability to understand and update software as needed to get optimal performance. Most often times you can do this simply by visiting the software’s main website and finding the updated information there and how to update your program. You can also use the installshield service agent.exe this will allow you to access update information via your computer and the internet by allowing it to send notification to you about updates that are available. As a user you can set the frequency of update notifications to your computer so you can check periodically. Using applications like this make a computer even more user-friendly for those who don’t have the knowledge of updating programs/software.

Boo Boo's Be Gone!

Being a mom you know about the scrapes and bumps and “boo boo’s” that go on in a child’s life. It seems that no matter the child they’re just attracted to getting hurt. I once thought with girls this wouldn’t be so much of an issue but I was horribly wrong.

My girls probably get as many scrapes, bruises and bump as any boy out there, if not more. They’re a bunch of klutz’s I’m telling you. Once one bump has healed another one seems to pop up out of nowhere.

Thankfully I have a little remedy now to help those tears from falling for long.
I’ve talked about The Happy Company (see review) before, well I have another product from them that makes their company even better! They’re not just for mom’s to ease our minds and relax us, but The Happy Company also provides comfort and relaxation (of sorts) for our children too. The Boo Boo Soother is almost like a magic patch in our home, once it’s brought out after a “boo boo” occurs the tears stop and the magic healing begins.

Ok so it’s not really magic but for kids, it seems like it. These cute little gel packs are great to have around the house for any and all “boo boo’s” that are going to happen. The Boo Boo Soother’s are little gel packs that you can keep in the fridge so they’re nice and cold for when they’re needed. The gel inserts are covered by a soft cotton pouch with cute and colorful graphics on them made just for kids. They’re also machine washable so that’s a plus for us moms.

If you’ve got the case of the “boo boo’s” at your home just like I do, the Boo Boo Soothers are a must have! With patterns for both boys and girls, they’ll be a welcome addition to the hugs and kisses that come after a fall. I’m sure your kids will enjoy them just as much as mine, instead of screaming and crying at the site of a small bump or bruise now they just run to the fridge, get out their boo boo soother and sit down on the couch with it on their boo boo for a while.

You can find out more about Boo Boo Soothers and where to purchase them by visiting the happy company on their website www.thehappycompany.com (you can find the Boo Boo Soothers under the Mommy and Me section).

WIN IT!

The Happy Company has provided A Wrestling Addicted Mommy with three (3) boo boo soother’s to giveaway. All you have to do is head on over to The Happy Company’s Website and take a look around, then come back and tell me which pattern of Boo Boo Soother’s you’d like if you won. Three winners will be chosen at random.

This giveaway is open to those with a US mailing address ONLY!!! And is open to non bloggers, PLEASE just remember if your blog profile is private, or you’re a non blogger, leave an email address or your entry will be disqualified....Winner will be chosen via random.org

Beverages for kids

There are so many beverages out there right now that are geared towards kids. I’m finding more and more ‘water’ products available for kids now more than ever. Fortunately I have no real problems with getting either of my girls to drink water, but I know they’d much rather have some flavor to what they’re drinking, I don’t really worry about what they’re drinking so much right now (besides pop, that’s a TREAT if they get it.). The girls are nowhere NEAR overweight but we want to make sure that they make healthy choices even when it comes to their beverages.

Recently we got to try a beverage for kids called Bot. It’s a ‘water’ beverage designed as an alternative to high sugar fruit juice and other drinks your kids may be drinking. Bot Beverages contain 75% less sugar than juice and are only 40 calories per bottle (not that I think calories should even be a concern if your children are not overweight). It also comes in four different flavors: grape, orange, lemon and berry. We got to try all of them. Now, I’m not a fan of flavored water, so for me they were well, not very good so don’t take my judgment. Besides they were meant for kids. The girls tried all four flavors and they really did like them, they loved the orange and grape but weren’t big on the berry, and honestly they didn’t like the lemon at all although they did attempt to drink all of the flavors to give them a try you could clearly tell what their favorite flavors were.

The bottles are 100% recyclable and small enough for little hands and mouths. Bot Beverages are great in the way that they don’t sweeten their drinks with artificial sweeteners; they continue to use sugar, just less of it. It’s a great alternative to other drinks such as Gatorade, Powerade or other flavored waters that you might give your children there’s a lot less sugar and with the no artificial sweeteners that makes it even a better option for kids.

Bot also gives 1% of their annual revenue each year directly to an environmental organization that is part of the solution for a healthier planet. Last year they contributed The Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, New Jersey.

You can find more information about Bot Beverages and where to purchase them (or even purchase them online) by visiting their website at www. botbeverages.com

Blog Awards...

I've neglected actually picking up a few awards, so I'll do it all in one post.

My most recent award was from Rhonda at Giggles 'N Sugar Kisses Blog. This was the first email I saw this morning when I checked my emails, that I received an award! How sweet, thanks so much Rhonda..

Here's the meaning of the award: '“This blog invests and believes, in ‘proximity’ [meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' - being close through proxy] "They are all charming blogs, and the majority of them aim to show the marvels of friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize, and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut, or that they propagate?"Then let’s try to give more attention to them!"

I have to select 8 more bloggers now who's blog content and design are worthy of the Blog Academy Award. Here's my picks:
The other award I was given was from Jacqueline at Blessings Abound. Thanks so much Jacqueline, and sorry I didn't acknowledge it until now.

Once again for receiving my award I must pick 7 more blogs who I believe deserve this blog award as well. My 7 picks are:
If you wish you can place the blog award(s) on your blog as well, and then link to the person who gave you the award(s). Then follow the rules and make sure to pick some great blogs for awards as well and link their blogs, then go comment to let them know they've won an award!

Geesh my mind just goes to heck sometimes when I'm not paying attention. I just realized I didn't announce the winner for the Custom Made for Kids gift certificate.

So without further ado, here's the winner chosen randomly of course....

I love the part about jumping in the puddles with a special friend. I would include my son's special cousin, Brinley, or "B" as he calls her.

Thank you!

Congrats Jill, I'll be in contact via email shortly. Please remember the winner has 72 hrs to respond to my email with their mailing address. If by chance the winner does not contact me within the 72 hrs another will be chosen.

Typing at the speed of light...

I came across something rather interesting today, both a video and a press release. I have to admit, I'm quite intrigued about it actually, this really sounds like something I personally could use and benefit from and I'm sure some of you other bloggers out there as well. Who couldn't use the 'extra hands' when writing blog posts?

Check it out if you have the chance:

Here is another great video review by Lisa, who coincidently writes the blog Lisa Reviews. She writes about how she can write at 150 words per minute with Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Standard

I think one of the key takeaways from her video, the key insight that is, is that she is able to write a lot more in those spare moments of time that she has while she's doing other things. Sometimes it's great to multitask, but it's even more important to be able to accomplish useful goals in those spare two or three or four minute pockets of time that we all experience throughout the day.

With Dragon NaturallySpeaking a four minute pocket of time can translate into 600 words! That could be three or four e-mails or one or two long blog articles if you're a blogger like Lisa.
Slick

For just $99 you can get started with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and have it trained in running in about seven minutes. The software with version 10 is simply amazing.

I have been writing about Dragon NaturallySpeaking for almost 2 years now. I have been able to type at rates of up to 167 words per minute with Dragon NaturallySpeaking. That speed was clocked while I was taking a typing test, but even in practical situations when I factor in not only the time it takes to type, but the time that it also takes to edit the words I typed, the end result is that I can still achieve about 100 words a minute, INCLUDING editing time! J

That is extremely fast, and the inclusion of editing time, speaks to the advances that you can see in version 10 as compared to older versions such as version 8 or version 9. It's a lot easier to edit on the fly with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10.

So if you're looking for a practical tool for your home office, for your writing or blog work, or even just to keep up with e-mail in your spare time, Dragon NaturallySpeaking can give you the power to Type at $150 Words Per Minute for $99!. Heck, I think I paid that much almost for my last keyboard so that I wouldn't pound my fingers to death. :-)

Sincerely,
Brett Bumeter

PS this article includes about 376 words that I wrote with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10. It took me about 3 1/2 minutes to write and edit this article, which is just a little bit better than 100 words per minute and that includes editing time.

Not much of a vacation huh

So you may have noticed I've done a bit of blogging today. Not much of a bloggy vacation huh? That's ok tho, when there's work that has to be done, and opportunities for my readers, I have to get them out and blogged about.

We're having a lot of fun out here in Canada, although IT"S SO COLD!!!! Not that I live too far from here (about 4hrs away) and I do live in Ohio, but it wasn't this cold when we left to come here. Thankfully I was warned ahead of time and brought the girls winter coats with us.

We got to celebrate my mom's birthday (a few days late) the other night, had a great family dinner and some cake afterward. Tonight we're spending the night at home with a few friends for a great 'Asian' dinner and probably some Rockband to follow. OH, I shall be getting my hair cut and colored while I'm here I think to, thanks to my brother's boyfriend Charlie. Halloween should be a fun time with the girls around here but I need to remember to lay off the candy, since I got here I've already eaten way too much and am in need of some bad acne treatment as well, just my luck!

It's so hard to say offline and off my blog, so I'm sure you'll see me posting some more. I'd like to say blog vacation but in reality come on, can any of us really do that?

The Housing Market

The economy is in bad times, the housing market is in the slumps. This often makes me wonder why the heck we bought our house when we did. I mean of course we’re not psychic how were we to know this would happen? We bought our home at a pretty decent price, but yet my curiosity gets the better of me and I search the listings and check out the houses we could now have at the same price. So much bigger and better, it makes me want to kick myself sometimes, but then again, with the way things are, who knows if we would have been approved for a mortgage.

It’s funny how things all over the country are different, some places there’s a boom in people buying houses while in other’s there’s a slow down. Take for instance the Leander texas real estate market, the houses that are available at such a decent price are just amazing. It makes me think, hmm could Texas be a move for us? Yea, I don’t think so.

Know your options...

As women and especially as women who have had children often times some of us find ourselves in a position where a hysterectomy may be recommended by our OBGYN to help solve a variety of health issues. This is a major surgery and often leaves women with a lot of lingering questions, and uncertainty only to rely on our doctor for information and the next steps to take. When something like this comes up in our lives, I think it’s important to gather information and research in many different places, and by different people to make sure we’re doing the absolute best things for ourselves and our bodies.

Finding more information especially when it comes to minimally invasive treatments for things such as heavy bleeding and a number of other common pelvic health conditions such as fibroids, stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapsed is important and the fact that these are very common issues with women makes it even more important. Did you know that at least one-third of women will experience one or more of the above conditions in their lifetime due to a variety of factors? This is why we need to inform ourselves and know where to turn.

There are treatments options for these conditions that don’t always require the traditional surgery which often times comes with a risk of complications and a long healing process. Finding ways to have minimally invasive procedures when possible allows us to have the surgery done quickly and easily and they also require less healing time and less pain often times though, patients don’t know that these options exist because our doctors don’t have the skill or research to know about these newer less invasive procedures. Most of the times doctors stick to what they know and what’s traditional, but as women, we need to explore these newer options and take control of our health care decisions, just because your doctor only suggests one option doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get a second opinion or do your own research, it is in fact your body and your health why just take 1 persons word.

If you’re ever faced with the reality of one of these conditions you need to be informed and aware about your health and your options to correct it. Be sure to talk to your doctor abut less invasive options and do your own research.

Visit www.aagl.org/healthcare-consumer for more information and to find a list of doctors who can help you find minimally invasive options.

Stylish and Beautiful for the plus sized gal!

I love fashion, and with being a plus sized girl, sometimes good no, make that great looking stylish fashion is hard to find especially when it comes to dresses and more ‘dressed up’ clothing. I often find that when trying to find a great dress, a lot of the things available locally are either just plain ugly, too much print, or look like a tent, and that’s not what I want or need as a bigger girl.

It seems like most of the great looking clothes that we can find as plus size girls, happen to be online but it’s really hard sometimes to judge if it’s right for you, your shape and body type, it often intimidates people from ordering online, especially if there’s no local store nearby that you can return the clothing to.

I’ve found a great online store where you can feel pretty confident and take a lot of the guess work out when trying to find that perfect dress or outfit. IGIGI Clothing offered me to review their site and one of their gorgeous dresses; of course I accepted their clothing is not only beautiful but stylish as well. I was able to review their Georgia “Two-in-One” Dress. I loved this dress from the time I viewed it on the website, nothing like I have ever owned before. I’m not really a girl that likes to wear dresses for the main reason, they never fit me right.

Thanks to IGIGI I was able to view a variety of dresses that were right for my body type/shape, I also love the fact that the models are plus size models and that you can also view a short clip of the model in the dress, with movement. It gives you a great view before you buy it to see if it’s exactly what you’re looking for.

The Georgia “Two-in-One” Dress is as their website states “ultra chic and feminine”. The high-waisted pencil skirt and ruffled Italian Georgette blouse is just gorgeous and perfect for someone like me who has a diamond shape. The sleeves are ¾ lengths and the blouse is sheer. The just below-the-knee pencil skirt has strategically placed seams that give a very flattering look. The dress was the perfect fit….Almost…I’m a short girl (standing at only 5’0”) so my dress is off to be altered lengthwise to fit my height.

I can say with honesty, I was a little afraid of the high-waisted skirt at first, as well I’m a woman who has had children and have became bigger since then, I have my rolls, I have my lumps and was afraid the high waist would just accentuate those inside of hide them, but I can say without a doubt that this dress does a woman justice! It flatters your body like it should in all the right places.

I know with the holiday season approaching, a lot of us are looking for some great holiday dresses and outfits, IGIGI is probably one of the better sites to take a look at if you’re looking for something a little more stylish yet still classy at the same time and with the features above that I mentioned like the ability to identify the right dress for your body shape you get to take a lot of the guess work out. I’d like to personally thank IGIGI for helping us bigger girls look even more beautiful.

To take a look at all that IGIGI offers you can take a look at their website located at: www.igigi.com

Blog Vacation!!!!

I just wanted to take a minute while I had some time, and tell ya that there won't be much activity if any at all for the next 2 weeks.

I've taken a little vacation of sorts. Me and the girls left Rodney!

We've headed up to Canada for 2 weeks to visit my parents, Rodney has to work so he can't join us up here, he'll be picking us up after Halloween. Although I did bring my laptop, I've been pretty busy visiting family and friends, so just in case I've not found the time, I wanted everyone to be aware of my little hiatus for a while.

Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Cleaning with UV Light

We’re a household full of allergy sufferers. In all reality, for me and my husband medication doesn’t do us much good. We need to find alternative ways to keep our allergies at bay and with the winter season coming upon us pretty fast even that sometimes isn’t a relief, because then we have the colds and the germs that run through our home. I decided we need to put a stop to these allergies and colds before they start. Recently I ran across a rather interesting product to help with household allergies and upcoming colds households will have.

The Verilux CleanWave Sanitizing Light Wand is like a magic wand for allergy and cold sufferers. The wand uses the ‘magic’ of UV-C light to sterilize surfaces without the use of harsh chemicals. It magically makes things like germs, bacteria, mold and dust mites disappear!

UV light isn’t a new technology used to sterilize surfaces, for many years places like hospitals have used UV light to safely sterilize surfaces and now you can do the same thing in your own home thanks to the Verilux CleanWave Sanitizing Light Wand. The UV-C light used by the wand allows for hypoallergenic cleaning and chemical-free disinfection of thins such as kitchen surfaces, mattresses, bedding, utensils, children’s toys, pet areas, computers and much much more. By simply taking a few seconds of your time during your normal household cleaning routine, the UV wand will kill 99.9% of allergy-causing and cold-causing germs by breaking down the DNA and reproductive capabilities in them while being chemical-free and environmentally safe.

I think this product is pretty neat; it’s got a stand that plugs in where you can sit your wand on a counter top or table to charge or to keep out of the way when not in use. I’ve used it mostly after I’ve wiped down a counter, or even after refreshing my mattresses, it’s not going to replace your cleaning routine by far, but every little bit helps especially when eliminating germs and allergens left behind after you’ve already cleaned.

Check out the Verilux CleanWave Sanitizing Light Wand and other great Verilux products by visiting their website at www.verilux.com

WIN IT!!

Thanks to Verilux they have provided one lucky reader of A Wrestling Addicted Mommy to have the chance to win their very own Verilux CleanWave Sanitizing Light Wand (ARV $100).
