Chris Brown has finally released a statement...

I'm sure by now everyone is sick of hearing about Chris Brown and Rhianna. I know I am, but the curiosity inside of me keeps kicking on what really happened.

Chris Brown has apparently finally made a statement:

Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writing under my name are frauds.

I think at this point in time, everyone really needs to step back and let what's going to happen or what needs to happen, happen. The media is reporting too many false reports, pictures and rumors and is just making things worse. It's not really our business what is going on between the two of them. The media has already painted Chris Brown as a monster even though, no charges have been laid, no one knows the truth, and Rhianna hasn't even spoken about this.

It's funny how his ads/sponsorships are pulling his content, some radio stations are even pulling his music. What were all these radio stations doing during the time Michael Jackson or R.Kelly were being investigated for molestation and/or child pornography? They were still playing their music all over the radio, still supporting these musicians as if they did nothing wrong. Now, I'm not condoning what Chris Brown did, but we don't know the entire story, and I though that in this country you were innocent until proven guilty, but I guess with the media around, we always know how that goes.

The Seventh Day of Christmas

On the Seventh Day of Christmas A Wrestling Addicted Mommy gave to me....Some great CD's to keep me moving...

N
ow, this is probably a post you'd never thought you'd see from me. I'm very much a 'music snob' as my husband calls me. I'm not too opened minded when it comes to music, I listen to mostly Hip-Hop, R&B, and Reggae music. Once in a while you'll find me listening to some pop, or some other genre of music and sit there and go hmmm, that's odd. I never thought she'd listen to that. Well this is one of those times.

Have you ever heard of the group Il Divo? I remember hearing about them a few years ago and being intrigued by the wonderful sounds of their voices. I've never owned a CD or their music, and never thought much about them unless I caught them on TV the odd time. I can now say I'm the proud owner of some Il Divo music.

In case you've never heard of them, Il Divo was brought together by Simon Cowell (you know, the mean British guy on American Idol) in 2004 he didn't just take a look at some Las Vegas resumes or anything to find the group Il Divo, in fact there was an extensive worldwide audition process. The blending of operatic technique and romantic and popular songs took the world by storm. They've had three albums, 'Il Divo', 'Ancora', and 'Siempre' which have scored 36 number 1 chart positions across 26 different countries.

Il Divo's music is just captivating, not only do the guys look good but their voices impress even more. Even though I'm not a fan of this type of music, Il Divo reel's me in and captivates me to listen to more and more of their beautiful songs.

The Promise Luxury Edition is their newest album that are in English, Italian and Spanish and even though I can't understand what they're singing sometimes, the songs speak to me. The music and their voices are just hypnotic and keep you listening to their brilliant talent. The music is soothing and romantic and perfect for those 'adult dinners' or parties as background music.

Il Divo also now has The Christmas Collection which features classic Christmas songs sung beautifully. I'm normally not a Christmas music fan either (I know scrooge lol) but this CD plays along with my favorite Boyz II Men Christmas album in the background this season when I'm cleaning or cooking or baking those cookies.

I highly recommend checking out Il Divo if you haven't already. You can check out their website www.ildivo.com or you can purchase The Promise or The Christmas Collection at Amazon.com

On this Seventh Day of Christmas thanks to the One 2 One network, you can win 2 Il Divo CD's for yourself. Both The Promise and The Christmas Collection can be yours by simply visiting the Il Divo website and then coming back and tell me what you think of them or if you've even heard about Il Divo before.

Mellowed Out!

That's my mood today. It's raining, I'm catching up a bit on my 'simpler' blogs that have to be done, and I'm pretty mellowed out.

I've got a dinner date with my BFF tonight, and looking forward to it. I just got word from Rodney that we've finally got our health insurance benefits. How great is that, I can finally after 2 years head to the doctors for some check ups and things without the worry of paying it all out of pocket. It's nice to know I have the security of insurance now especially as we travel a lot out of state and out of country.

Speaking of insurance, I always have to wonder (and yes, this goes back to my little wrestling addiction) with all the injury's and such, how these guys find an insurance company, or how high their premuims actually are if they do get insurance. Like the Hardy's for examply, do they have North Carolina health insurance? Cause those boys do some crazy things and especially Jeff is on the injured list more often than not.

Boy, talk about a rambling blog post, can you tell my head's out of whack today somewhat! I guess I'll leave it at that, I'm going to go back to listening to some more music, maybe that will clear my head. I've got to say though, if you see the post below this one, check out Seal's new album. I've always been a big fan of his but i'm especially loving this Soul album! My favorite so far is Change Is Gonna come. Especially fitting after the elections! Check it out!

R.Kelly Speaks...

I'm sure a lot of you know about the R. Kelly sex scandal trial that has gone on. He was found innocent (really? how that happened is beyond me), and now he's speaking about it.

I used to be a huge R. Kelly fan, his music is great, the man can sing and turns out hits like no tomorrow, but the man has an issue, and it needs to be addressed. I can no longer consider myself a fan, nor listen to his music after the claims (and also seeing the sex tape, come on it was him, no doubt about it). It's quite clear that this man is a pedophile, a child molester whatever you want to call him, he's it. People that are sitting behind him (fans) who are cheering him on, offering him support really need to open their eyes to this man. I know I don't want my children listening to some man singing that could potentially hurt them. As usual, because he's a celebrity, he gets an innocent verdict and a slap on the wrist. When is the law going to be on the sides of the citizens, and of the sides of our children instead of the sides of these celebrities?

R. Kelly makes me sick...I hope that somehow, somewhere someone speaks up and tells the truth about him, or it's found out somehow...You can check out his BET interview where he speaks out below:

One thing I am proud of....Funk Master Flex, thank you for speaking out, speaking out publicly about this sick poor excuse of a man. It takes a lot for one celebrity to speak out about another, and I praise him for that. So many people see the truth of this man, why the law/jurors didn't is beyond me...

For the girls who have been abused and taken advantage of from him, I only hope that they realize they're under age, he's a grown man, and it wasn't a good thing that happened, at the time, I'm sure all they think of is "Oh, My God, this is R.Kelly" but in reality, it was abuse and something very WRONG that happened to them...

Sweet Dreams

One thing that parents are always looking for is a simple and great way to have their baby have a nice peaceful and restful sleep.

Thanks to Merry Miller's "Dream Baby" CD, parents and babies everywhere are sleeping better!

The "Dream Baby" CD features beautiful classics such as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Brahms Lullaby, You Are My Sunshine and many more... The music on the CD is enhanced by soothing sound effects such as singing birds, chirping crickets, flowing streams and other beautiful and calming sounds.

Studies have proven that music notes played on a harp lowers the level of stress and raises melatonin levels which promote sleep and relaxation, this is what makes the "Dream Baby" CD so therapeutic. Studies have also shown that harp music helps relive anxiety as well.

"Dream Baby" has been fetured on Good Morning America Now, The New York Daily News, iParening.com, hotmomsclub.com and more. Even celebrity parents such as Jessica Alba, Cameron Matheson, Kelly Ripa, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Trista Ryan have given rave reviews to the CD and use it with their own children.

The creator of "Dream Baby" CD Merry Miller has been a professional harpist for over 20 years and is also a successful business woman who owns 'God's Social Network' and 'Baby Music To Go'. Making The Band 4

Ok, I can admit, sometimes there's just some reality shows that, as hard as I hate to admit to watching them. I do.

One of them...... Making The Band..... This past season had Danity Kane, and the guys group kind of go head to head. I didn't really watch too intensely, but when there was nothing else to watch, I watched it.

I can say, I am not the biggest fan of Danity Kane, but they have grown on me, they're decent. Not the best group in the world, but decent. However, the guys group, who was named Day 26. During the show, honestly. SUCKED! I didn't think they'd have a hit no matter what.....

Yet now... I am in LOVE with their first single. I just can't get it out of my head. Diddy did it again lol.

Day 26 and their first single "Got Me Going" has now got ME going. I can't get enough of it. Check out the video, see for yourself if you like it or not.

The video doesn't do much for me at all, love the song, video could have been much better in my opinionl
