I was so sore from my workout yesterday. I woke up with a sore butt, and extremely sore thighs/hamstrings. I never get that way from my usual workout videos. I love the sore feeling the next day, that’s when you know you did a great workout that actually did something. Although all I did this morning was whine and complain about how sore I was.
I wasn’t completely sure I was actually going to do a workout today with my EAS Active. I could barely walk up the stairs my legs were so sore. I couldn’t miss a day though, I’m doing the 30 day challenge and I can’t wimp out on day 2.
I started up the Wii and away I went. Doing the workout I was surprised at how my body reacted. I could no longer feel the muscle pain that I was in beforehand; my body went right along with the workouts. The sweat poured down my face, I pushed myself no matter how tired or weak my legs felt and I got my workout done.
I again exceeded the calorie burn that EAS Active gave me as a goal and burned another 176 calories during my workout. I can’t boast enough about this new ‘game’. It’s definitely kicking my butt and is a REAL workout. I’m so glad I decided to purchase it.
My workout today was filled with cardio, as well as both upper body and lower body workouts. I got to play tennis, which was fun, I was hoping to see more boxing today but I guess we’ll do that again another day. I’m not a runner, I hate running, but with the EAS Active I’m actually starting to enjoy it. I love the intervals that it gives you instead of just a straight run.
So I sit here dripping sweat, I need to go shower but I wanted to make sure I posted my Day 2 workout before I forgot.
**UPDATE**
Ok after not hurting while I was working out, I have to say, going up and down the stairs is so not fun right now, legs are still sore...LOVE IT!!!

The Weightloss Journey
How’s the weight loss going Gina??? I bet that’s what some of you are asking. We’ll I’d love to tell you but when I went to step on my Wii Fit today for it to tell me how I’m doing I got a shocker of some news. You see, I’ve been doing some Walk at Home Fitness videos along with some other activities for a while now to give me a change of pace from the regular Wii Fit action, so I haven’t weighed mysef oh in about 16 days or so. I’ve started off by doing the Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home videos. Now you must know, I’m not one for workout videos, in fact, I hate them. I have so many of them but can’t get past doing them the first day or two. I either can’t keep up, or I just give up because they’re too hard, or I get bored. But because I needed a change of pace I decided to do some of the Walk at Home videos. I have five of the videos now at home, to workout with and to review, so I decided to do a video each week and to rotate them after that.
I started with the Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home Walk this Way: An easy 30 min. Walk At
Home for Beginners. I wasn’t expecting so much, I mean it’s walking come on, and how boring was this going to be? Well, I was in for a shocker. Being a beginner, this video gives you a beginner’s 2 mile walk introduction to the Walk at Home video series and I can say, I am impressed! I actually stuck to doing this video for 5 days during the week (I take 2 days off of exercising). I love Leslie, she’s upbeat and personable, not one of those annoying tiny workout instructors that you want to yell “SHUT UP” to while you’re working out. Leslie Sansone is great; she keeps you motivated and is so friendly while instructing you, if that’s what you can even call it.The exercise was great; it gave me a workout and a sweat, yes even though it’s walking, and kept me wanting to come back for more. This was something I could actually do, something I could actually keep up with! The video is 35 minutes and with the beat of the music which you walk to, gives you a full 2 mile walk. The Walk This Way video includes in the workout a warm up walk, a brisk pace averaging 4 mph, it also includes mile markers which allow you to choose a 1 or 2 mile walk. At first I thought there’s no way I’ll be able to get through 2 miles, but the exercise is so uplifting and upbeat that you’ve done 2 miles before you know it. The video also features multi muscle moves, this is a compound exercise that gives you a bigger calorie burn rather than just regular walking. There’s also a cool down walk and a stretch at the end.
Any of you who are looking for a great way to get exercise in this is the way to go. All ages, shapes, sizes and genders can keep up with the Walk at Home Walk This Way video, there’s no discrimination. From beginner to advanced exercisers this is a great video.
This week I’m starting my second video The Big Burn: 2 Miles of Intervals, I had my first workout about an hr ago, and WOW I’m still loving it! I’ll have my review on that video next week. To get back to my weightloss well, I guess I’ll have to update you more on that later. Considering I had a great WOOHOO moment when I first stepped on my Wii Fit today only to be let down for it to say I’ve lost a total of 46 lbs….that’s when I knew the battery needed to be charged, I’d love to have lost 46lbs but in 16 days, that’s just not possible.

Bend with The Bender Ball
Most of my regular readers know that I'm struggling with my current weight and looking into more exercise and eating right. I'm trying to have a lifestyle change, get this weight down and be a happier healthier person. All those late night infomercials have a ton of products that claim to help me get rid of all of the excess body weight. So many gadgets and machines and videos, how do you know they work? Well, I guess you just have to try.
One of the many infomercials that I've seen late at night is The Bender Ball. I've always been interested in this. I'm not really a video workout type of girl and I really hate exercise balls, b
ut this video and the small little Bender Ball that you use with it, looked like something I could give a go at.The Bender Ball and Bender Method of Core Training was developed to target ALL of your abdominal muscles including your upper, lower and side abdominals. Great just what I need. I really hate that mommy pooch that most of us get after having kids.
The Bender Ball workout not only comes with the DVD but also comes with the Bender Ball and an on-line membership section to help you with an eating guide/meal plan and get some tips to help you achieve the results you want.
The trainer on the video Leslee Bender has been a fitness trainer for over 25 years, the thing I like, she's not one of those really annoying hosts that you have on your videos. She seems sincere and kicks your butt into making sur
e you get those exercises done and done right.I'm so excited to have this video just in time for my 'lifestyle change' The Bender Ball isn't a hard workout, but it's not easy either. There's work to do, and you have to have the determination to get it done. Although I'm sure that after a few more sessions some of the exercises will become easier with time. I haven't noticed results yet, but I'm sure with the way the workouts are going, I will soon.
Another thing I liked about The Bender Ball workout is the actual Bender Ball. Working on your abs can sometimes hurt and be straining on your back and neck, I find the Bender Ball helps out tremendously with this.
