Bobbin' Boogily's

Rocket USA has done it once again. If you remember last month I had a giveaway for some really unique, ugly but cute at the same time, Boogily Bunnies and Stitch Kittens (review). The comments you guys left were so great, and there was so much interest in some of these unique toys, Rocket USA has decided to do yet another giveaway for some very unique and fun toys for your kiddos, or even yourself!

I’d like to introduce you to Boogily Heads. These fun, cute little creatures offer some bobble head action, while creating a unique sense of fun at the same time. Again, designed by artist Gus Fink they were made exclusively for Rocket USA. These cute little creatures come with their own unique and collectible Mini Comix written and illustrated by Gus Fink himself.

These characters are one of a kind, and once again my girls enjoyed these little ones immensely. With their unique look, even my girly girls were once again amazed and happy to play with them. They’ve transformed their doll house into a Boogily Head house and that’s where they live and play all day! The one-of-a-kind characters each have a name of their own and come from the original Gus Fink sculptures that were reproduced into these one of a kind items that stands 1.75” to 2.25”. Even with the ‘raw and gritty’ details and imperfections, the girls love them just the same. It’s great to be able to give them some unique toys and see where their imagination takes them, the toys don’t look perfect, have no resemblance to anything else they own, and can easily be seen with the girls on a daily when they’re playing in their room, their imagination just soars with the interaction each Boogily Head does with one another.

WIN a Boogily Head for yourself!!! Since we found out last time how much my readers love to see these very unique toys from Rocket USA, they again have given me a chance to let you guys win your very own little Boggily Head creature. Five (5) lucky readers will get their chance to choose their own Boogily Head and have them shipped directly to them! All you have to do to enter to win a Boogily Head for yourself is visit the Boogily Head website and leave a comment telling me which Boogily Head you’d love to win. You can view all the different Boogily Heads available by looking here.

This giveaway is open to those with a US mailing address ONLY!!! And is open to non bloggers, PLEASE just remember if your blog profile is private, or you’re a non blogger, leave an email address or your entry will be disqualified....Winner will be chosen via random.org

Unique enough for you?

I've got two very girly girls. Once in a while though I'll get a surprise from them which makes me double think how 'girly' they actually are.

Take for instance the newest things they bring to bed every night with them. Their Boogily Bunnie and Stitch Kitten. What the heck are those you ask? They sure don't sound like a cuddly bear, or foo foo pink puppy do they?

Well, that's because they're not. Boogily Bunnies and Stitch Kittens are pretty far from it, they're pretty unique and my girls just love them.

Lyric got her very own 'Slurp' Boogily Bunnie. The Boogily Bunnies are a hot new collectible art toy created for Rocket USA by artist Gus Fink. The Boogily Bunnies are collectible, poseable art plus that come with a collectible mini comic, trading card, and checklist. They can also stand on their own. This isn't really something I would have thought that my girls would have been so into, but believe me, Lyric Loves her bunnie, and has taken him to bed every night since the day we've welcomed him into our home.

The Stitch Kittens are a little 'cuter' if you could say that than the Boogily Bunnies in my opinion. Aria chose her very own and to our home arrived Ava the Stitch Kitten. Stitch Kittens are again made exclusively for Rocket USA by Gus Fink and come with all of the above items that the Booglie Bunnies come with as well (mini comic, trading card and checklist), they're also poseable and can stand on their own. Again, Aria as well, takes Ava to bed with her every night and if we can't find her, there's trouble until we do.

I love both the Boogily Bunnies and Stitch Kittens because they're so unique, not something you'd find laying in an isle at Walmart, or even think that a child would have. They would make great gifts for the kid who has everything. Be sure to check out http://boogilyheads.com/ for more information and great products.

Princess this, princess that...

Princess, Princess, Princess. That's what I hear about all day in my house. Both the girls are pretty convinced that they're both princesses. I say they're more of the drama queen type, but whatever gets them through the day and keeps them happy I'm all about.

We recently received a dvd in the mail called Prima Princessa presents Swan Lake. As soon as I opened up the envelope, the girls shrieked with joy. "A PRINCESS BALLERINA MOVIE!!!" they both cried. The joy in their eyes was just too good to be true. So right away we popped in the DVD for the girls to watch.

Prima Princess presents Swan Lake debuted in January 2008. The producers Mary Kate Mellow and Stephanie Troeller teamed up as 2 stay-at-home moms to produce this show inspired by their children's love of dance. The dvd brings a hip new twist on learning about ballet. My girls right now are loving dance and love to pretend that they're ballarina's so this video was just perfect for us. The dvd features the Paris Opera Ballet and students from the School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center, and Official Academy of New York City Ballet.

The dvd is 40 minutes long and kept the girls attention for the entire time, I did however have to stay out of their way as the dancing was a little out of control (*giggle*), but they were having such a blast. Prima Princessa is an animated fairy ballerina who magically transports a group of little girls to go see the Paris Opera Ballet perform Swan Lake. Between acts the children return home to learn simple ballet steps (which the girls followed along with quite well), the steps are shown by using colorful montages of toys, animals, children and young dancers.

This is a new favorite in our house, I can't count how many times the girls ask for the ballerina dvd to be put in. Prima Princessa presents Swan Lake can be purchased on Amazon.com, as well as on their website http://www.primaprincessa.com/. You can also find clips and coloring pages for you to print out for your ballerina's on their website as well.

All we need now is a pair of tutu's and the girls will be good to go!!! Thanks Prima Princessa for giving my girls something to look forward to doing and watching on a rainy day.

The Only Hearts Club

The Only Hearts Club is one of the hottest new things in the toy industry. We were lucky enough to win our very own Only Hearts Club doll from Kids Health Notes by entering one of their great giveaways.

Only Hearts Club dolls are real-looking dolls that have a great message behind them. The dolls not only have the look of a positive message but they are real looking and dress like your girls would dress. The Only Heart Club dolls were inspired by a series of books called the Only Hearts Club which strives to give girls a positive message and image outlook on life and themselves. They teach young girls to "listen to your heart and try to do the right thing."

The Only Hearts Club has a diverse and multicultural group of young girls who include Taylor Angelique, Karina Grace, Olivia Hope, Briana Joy, Lily Rose and Anna Sophia. These girls live in the same community and formed The Only Hearts Club which is a club with true friendship and a pledge to listen to their hearts, be nice to others and to do the right thing.

We were pleased with Briana Joy came to our home with her loveable pet dog. The girls took to her right away. These dolls are unlike any other on the market today, not only because of the positive message they try to instill in our girls, but the dools are soft, they are fully poseable as well. With my girls being bi-racial its also important to me that they can get dolls that are multicultural and they have dolls that look like them as well, Only Heart Club has a diversity to their dolls that actually look the part, not just the same doll with a different color hair and darker pigment to their skin. The Only Hearts Club dolls clothing is also stylish and hip, but look like something a young girl would be intended to wear and also is age appropriate. These dolls will be a new welcome doll into our home for future gifts and surprises. The fact that the dolls are fun to play with, and provide a coolness to 'do the right thing' and 'be positive' they're a great new toy to add to that toybox.

Visit www.onlyheartsclub.com to learn more and to view their other dolls.

Fit those little heads with Little Fit

Summertime brings about that time of year to get those little people covered and shaded from the sun. Not only do we need to protect our children's skin, but their heads need to be protected as well.

I find its hard to find hats that are actually made for a toddlers head. Especially my oldest, not that she has a big head per say, but she has a ton of hair, and most of the hats we find for children just don't fit right, they're made for kids with small tiny heads, and well, they're either too babyish for her or just plain ugly.

Searching online for some cute hats for the girls, I ran across Little Fit. They make cool hats for both infants and toddlers that are made for their heads, fit right and look great.

They have little flexy hats for 1-3 year olds (they start at 47cm) and these hats will sometimes fit older children as well. They also have BIG flexy hats (starting at 51cm) and these fit most 3-5 year olds. Great for little ones...

Some of their hats have an AFLEX band on the inside that allows the hat to be one size and allows them to grow with the children, so they can wear their hats longer than just a few months or over one season.

My girls just love their Little Fit hats. Lyric owns her very own BIG ABCD Pink Bling Truckers Hat. For once, we found a hat that fits her head, and we are so thankful. I just pull her back into a little pony tail to stick out of the back (since hers has an adjustable band in the back of her hat) and off she goes. She wears her hat now whenever we go outside in the sun, she just loves it so much, one of her favorite 'accessories' now.

Aria got her own Classic Pink Little Flexy solid colored hat. Just like her sister, she just adores it. Now Aria does have a big head, and this hat fits her perfectly, plus she has the room to grow with it as well, there's still room without it looking too big on her head.

There are so many more styles to choose from for your own kids, they can find the best style for them, and they'll be sure to keep protected throughout the summer months and beyond.

I'm so thankful to find Little Fit hats, I love that I now have the option for cute, stylish and affordable hats for kids that will last a few years rather than a few weeks or months. Some of these would just make great gifts for the other kids in our lives, hopefully for yours as well.
Little Fit has offered to give one of my readers their very own Little Fit hat for their little one.

To be eligible to win, you must do the following:
  • Visit the Little Fit store and leave a comment on this post letting me know which Little Fit hat you'd like if you won the giveaway.
  • Make sure there is a way for me to contact you, non bloggers can enter but if your not a blogger please leave your email address in the comment, if there is no way for me to contact you via a blog or email address you will be disqualified and your comment will be deleted. Crispy Crunchie Kids

Crispy chapped lips, crunchy dry legs. These are things my daughters tend to face some days. Trying to find a great product for kids with these issues can be a challenge. Sure, you can use your usual moisturizers, your own lip balm or chap stick, but why can't the kids have something of their own? Something they can like and relate to?

Stuff for Sprouts is made just for those Crispy Crunchy Kids.

Kristen Bassick is the woman behind Stuff for Sprouts. She had this problem with her own kids. Crispy faces, Crunchy legs. She was sick of only finding products that were pink and glittery, or greasy and just plain weird smelling. So, she thought, sure she can make this 'stuff' too, but make it even better. And that she did.

Stuff for Sprouts has products such as Lip Stuff for Crispy Kissers which we got to try in the Frosting 'flavor'. My girls love the stuff, it smells wonderful as well. It has kept their lips moist and smooth, no more crispy flaky lips in this house. The scent is very kid friendly but won't knock and adult on their feet with the sweet smell, its rather nice. I tried the Lip Stuff for Crispy Kissers on myself and it's actually very nice. The scent on the label also isn't just the name, it actually smells like real frosting.

Stuff for Sprouts carries creams and lotions and will be coming out with their own sunscreen soon as well, which I can't wait to be able to purchase.

All of their products are combined with some great ingredients, natural oils and butters, purified water, as well as the kid-friendly fragrances and flavors. Stuff for Sprouts does not include in their ingredients, nut butters or oils, mineral oil, soy, paraben-based preservatives, chemical fillers, artificial colors or sparkles. Their products are also NEVER tested on Animals. The ingredients are safe for kids, and they pride themselves on that.

Stuff for Sprouts also has a money-back guarantee if you don't love the products. Which I'd be surprised if you didn't.

You can find the Lip Stuff for Crispy Kissers and more of their products by heading to www.stuff4sprouts.com. You can also hop on by Kristen's Stuff For Sprouts Blog: Behind the scenes at a mompreneurial start-up. A working mom who doesn't go to work, a mom who stays at home but is not a stay-at-home mom.
