Pay Me To Take It Off!!!

Lack of motivation is what I spoke about yesterday. For a lot of us trying to improve our health and weight, lack of motivation is a big factor. It's not always just about the food or lack of fitness equipment, sometimes there's just more to it. I strive to push through this, in fact, my motivation to do this is my children, but I do have some ‘superficial’ motivation as well. I want to look hot, sexy, and beautiful! I actually have a photo that I reference when I need some more motivation, and the next step (and believe me, hubby doesn’t mind this at all) is me printing off a few of these photos I use for my motivation and sticking them on the fridge and pantry.

My photo motivation, Tara from TNA Wrestling, as one of my favorite female wrestlers she’s a great motivator! She’s a great person overall (yes I’ve met her), and just stunning! What I wouldn’t give to make SURE I look like her one day, and I’m positive that I’ll do it!

Another great motivator is cold hard CASH! If someone were to tell me they’d give me some significant cash when I reached my goal, I’d be all over it! In fact, I am all over it!!

Recently I heard about a website called Healthywage.com. HealthyWage wants to give you cash for achieving your weight loss goals. Not only do they provide cash incentives, but they also provide social support, information resources, and goal-setting and tracking technologies to help Americans lose weight.

HealthyWage features four weight loss challenges, they include:

• BMI Challenge provides $100 from corporate sponsors to obese Americans (nearly one third of the nation) who lose weight.
• SuperSizer challenges members to increase their chances of success by betting $150 or $300 that they will lose weight—with potential rewards of $450 or $1,000 for losing weight.
• Top Motivator rewards $1 for each pound lost to the individual whose friends lose the most weight in the 2010 BMI Challenge.
• Weekly Weigh-in encourages users to check in once a week, report their weight, share weight loss and health tips with a supportive online community—and earn rewards from sponsors.
I recently signed up for HealthyWage and their simple reward/BMI challenge which is FREE! And I can get a reward of $100 for reaching my goal, but you have the option of increasing your reward amount by committing your own cash as well, with the SuperSizer program. With the SuperSizer program you bet pay $300 and as time goes on, once you reach your goal you can get a $1000 CASH reward, just for losing your goal weight!

Wow..I have never heard of anything like this before. Sounds interesting. I need to lose about 80 lbs and am trying to work out more and eat less. Also trying new lowfat and low cal recipes.

Like some of the lovely ladies on here I'd like to lose between 80-100 lbs (yay I'm not alone haha) I recently borrowed my mom's wii and having been using it daily for a little over a week, it's fun and I've already lost almost 5 lbs!

This is fascinating! I have had three babies in just under three years and need to lose the 40lbs of baby weight. It has been very difficult to do despite my efforts. My goal is to be at a healthy weight so I can be a good role model for my little ones, now ages 2, 3 and 4. I eat very healthy and know that a good exercise program will be they key to being successful. It is just VERY hard to find time to exercise with three active toddlers. This program would be a fantastic motivator!!!!

I want to lose about 40 lbs and 25 of that by June..I have done it 2 times before (not all just 20 lbs) and know it can be done..I will do the same thing I did before Walk, excerise DVD's and healthy eating..For me it's keeping it off which is so so hard..

I wasn't really making proper food choices before the holidays, so I'd gained some, and then put holiday weight on top of it! I'm back to where I was pre-Thanksgiving, but still want to lose another 10 lbs or so. I have been really conscious of what I eat and also have increased the amount of exercise I do - which means thinner dogs, now, too, because they have been walking with me!

My goal is to lose 50-60 pounds. I quit smoking two years ago as of the first week of February and have gained about 30 pounds more than I had already put on before quiting.

My motivation is improving my quality of life. I'm just 30 and I have alot of life to look forawrd to. I cannot enjoy alot of things because I'm just too overweight, out of breath and weak.

I've been in a slump for a long time and I'm finally finding my way out of it. This would just boost me that much further.

I would love to enter this one for my husband. He is doing everything. He gets up faithfully at least 5 times a week at 4:30- 5 am to go to the gym and he is also in some mai tai however you spell it classes. he is over weight but is trying so hard. Everyone is so surprised he didn't quit the classes because he has to lose at least 100 lbs.

I'd love to lose some weight! I think 25 would be ideal, but I'm a muscle-builder (i.e. I squat down to pick up a penny and gain a pound of muscle - lol), so perhaps I'm being unrealistic. Maybe 20 is better...
Currently, I walk 6 miles per weekend day, then try to work out on the elliptical during the week.
