Today feels so much like a Friday to me! Both Lyric and my hubby have Thursday and Friday off from school and work. Lucky girl gets a 4 day weekend…Parent/teacher conferences will be happening tomorrow, I’m kind of nervous, how odd! This is our very first parent/teacher conference and I feel like I’m being sent to the principal’s office… Not that my child is bad or anything, by no means, apparently she’s more well behaved at school than she is at home. I just get nervous with these sorts of things. Never mind the fact that it really makes me feel OLD!
We’ve already met her teachers and such at the open house we had. It was quite a fun time too, except that school is so dang hot!! Lyric also made sure she pointed out to us the video surveillance equipment that they had in the school, kind of a funny thing for her to point out, but you know the mind of a 6 year old…Wander, wander, wander.
There’s also a lot of noise going on today, which I’m sure is going to irritate and annoy me. They’re fixing the sidewalks on our street, so not only do I have big huge holes in front of my house, I’ve got a ton of construction workers (not at all hot either lol), and equipment making a ton of noise.
So now, I have to figure out how to walk to school with my 3 year old later today to pick up my daughter, sigh, this is going to be a fun day I can already tell.
