So I really have no news for you guys today. We waited and waited for a phone call yesterday, and after being stressed out and nervous all day, around 7pm we came to find out that Rodney had an email waiting in his mailbox for him. Uhoh, not a good sign I thought…. I opened up the email and it was an email stating that they haven’t made the decision yet, and that she was going to be out of the office till Thursday so we should hear then. I don’t know how much longer I can take with this waiting. Rodney has been ‘applying’ for this job for 2 months now. I swear if he doesn’t get this job, I don’t know what I’m going to do; it’s been a long enough string along, just give him the job already!Rodney got information about benefits and such at Altel yesterday. Seems like they have a pretty good benefits package for their employees (oh and yes, we’re still waiting on Sprint to get off their asses as well to send him an offer letter). Much better than the last job Rodney had, looks like I’ll finally get insurance, YAY! We looked at what they had to offer, medical, dental, vision. They also have Term Life Insurance. Rodney had Life Insurance with his last employer and we didn’t even know it, and well now since they’re out of business when we looked at our finding our own without an employer it was not a fun task when we’d get the Term Life Insurance Quote. My goodness things can get costly, and with being out of work for a while, it wasn’t something we could even pay into right now. At least now he has a job, and our benefits will be through an employer again, no more looking around for Term Life Insurance Quotes with a million different places. He is allowed to sign up for benefits on November 1st so for another month we’re out of luck and on our own, hopefully everything will be ok.
