**Disclaimer, this isn't a normal blog post, it's not happy and cheery, it's full of profanity, probably a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes as well, so if that's not your cup of tea, you might want to skip past it**
So you all know the fucking bull shit drama we've been going through with that Comdata job for Rodney. It's been almost 3 fucking bullshit months (you can guess where this is going right).
He got a call from them on FRIDAY that was supposed to be the FINAL yes or no decision made. Well he missed the call cause he was working. So she told him to call her back at any time on her PERSONAL cell phone and she'd call him back when she got a chance. He called, let her know his schedule on voicemail and we've been anticipating the call ALLLLL FUCKING WEEKEND LONG!
Well, this morning we got woken up by his cell ringing... Low and behold it was Janie from Comdata... AWESOME!! Great start to the week with AWESOME news.
Or so we thought....
THE FUCKERS SAID HE WASN'T EXPERIENCED ENOUGH......No let me re-phrase that, after 8953680094386 interviews and 35409234850398 phone calls and a trip down to Tennessee for an interview with corporate and then them having him do a drug test, skills assessment and applications for formalities, and then telling him that Greg (the VP he originally interviewed with and who sent him down to TN) would be making the final decision, the executive VP who told Rodney he had no say in the matter, apparently told Greg that Rodney didn't have enough FUCKING EXPERIENCE!
How UNBELIEVABLE IS THAT!!!!! A Waste of our time, their time, our money their money and a whole 3 months of looking forward to this job and being strung along. I am just FUMING MAD right now FUMING!!!!!! What kind of company goes through all that BS just to say um no you don't have enough experience?
When Rodney interviewed with Greg he had said to Rodney that he was lacking experience in some departments but because of the experience he did have and his resume he could look past that and was sure Rodney could be trained without issue.....
UGH!!! BULL SHIT!!!!!
SCREW COMDATA!!! A Company who wants to do that isn't worth our time, who knows what they would do with him as an employee, the funny thing is, Rodney was the ONLY CANDIDATE they had left for consideration of the position, so now what are they gonna do? Obviously it wasn't an immediate position they had to fill.
Rodney is looking up though. Figuring fine, it wasn't meant to be, at least we can get on with our own lives now and not plan around Comdata. He likes Alltel and has been told he'll move up quick, so he's going in today with a smile on his face and looking to RUN that place now and move up and up and up....I'm just glad we didn't bank on the Comdata position and leave everything else in the dust, then we'd be SOL.

That is so ridiculous. How much of their own money and time did they waste on all of that even - what a goofy company!
Maybe this just means something better is on the horizon. Take a deep breath and try to let it go (I know it's hard). Hang in there.
By the way - I haven't been here recently and was shocked by the redesign - it looks fantastic!
Gina I'm just sitting here with my jaw on the floor! I cannot believe they made him jump through all of their hoops then leave him hanging for all that time only to tell him NO - WTF???????
Sounds like a company that doesn't deserve Rodney to me!
That seriously sucks!
Honestly it sounds like there was something moving under the table there. Screw them.
Oh Gina, I'm so sorry! That's a really crappy thing for them to do to you guys.
Gina, that just sucks. Pure and simple. What kind of company does that? spend that kind of money in this day and age just to jerk someone around?! Hell, I'd spew even more than you did. That was just below the belt. Alltel is lucky to have Rodney!!
Sorry to hear about your upsetting news. After all this time. I guess it really just wasn't meant to be. Just look at it as their loss. Be thankful that he DOES have a job and likes it. There are many out there that are not so lucky these days.
Hey, I like your new site design too. It looks really good. Keep your chin up and keep up the great blogging.
OMG I'm so sorry to hear this G...none of this seems to add up. They have been stringing you guys along for so long...grrr!!
That is so ridiculous for putting you thru that crazy long interview process only to turn you down like that! I have found that its easier to find a job when you already have one, so keep posting his resume on Monster, etc and someday that dream job will come.
I love your new blog design btw!
OMG! what a bunch of jerk off's I can't believe them, how dare they! UGH I'm so mad for you! GRRRR F them seriously!
