Fun without the batteries!

Retro toys at their best! You may have already heard about Rocket USA from some of my previous blogs about the Boogily Heads, Boogily Bunnies and Stitch Kittens. It’s great to find a place where you can get the most fun out of toys, without the electronics and batteries needed in order for them to operate. I know in my home Rocket USA has become a big hit with my girls.

For the month of October, I’d like to introduce you to their great and fun line of Whirl-O’s. You might remember something similar from your own childhood. I know both me and my husband do, they looked a little different but were of the same concept. A yo-yo without a string basically, this toy yet so simple provides so much fun to both adults and children. A Whirl-O is a hand held magnetic spinning toy that you can play with and do really cool tricks with, without having to coordinate too much with a string, or have the hassle of tangling happening. It’s kind of a cross between a yo-yo and a top.

The Whirl-O has a metal track that you use the magnetic metal ‘top’ on and as you swing it around, back and forth or however you choose to get your top going, you’ll hear an orbiting sound along with it. Each Whirl-O comes with a trick book where you can try your hand at some of the various tricks you can do, or just stand there and spin it like my girls do; it’s still a ton of fun! I guess you could sort of say it’s an educational toy as well, you can learn basic science fundamentals from it like gravity, magnetism, and centrifugal force while still having fun!

We’ve all had fun with our Whirl-O’s in this house; yes even us, the parents. The girls have their very own collection from Rocket USA. They carry the Whirl-O Hurricane Series, Whirl-O Atomic Series which are basic Whirl-O’s with some great designs on them; they also have my girl’s favorite one, the Whirl-O Lightning which lights up as you spin it, lots of fun in the dark I can tell ya! They also have a great Whirl-O Trick Deck Set, which comes with two Atomic Whirl-O’s and a platform to do all your new tricks that you’ve learned how to do with your Whirl-O, this one is a little more for me and my hubby to play with as the girls have yet to master their Whirl-O trick skills but they’re coming along.

Visit www.rocketusa.com to check out all the different sets of Whirl-O’s that they carry.

Rocket USA wants you to experience the fun that comes along with the Whirl-O’s as well….
