1. So, we finally have a Democratic candidate in the U.S.: Barack Obama. What do you think of that? Do you think he can win against John McCain? Why/why not?
Meh, I'm ok with it, as long as it's not another Bush running I'm happy. I'm not a fan of Barack Obama, I really think IMO that Hilary Clinton would have been a better candidate for the presidency, but I can't vote anyways, so it doesn't really matter. I have a sick feeling in my stomach when I think of Obama as president, I have from the beginning, there's just something about him that doesn't sit right with me. Can he win over McCain? I don't know, its too early to say if he can or not, I guess we'll see as time goes on.
2. What is your position on illegal drugs?
I feel that if someone wants to do them, let them. I feel that if a soft drug like marijuana is going to be illegal then so should tobacco which has more harmful effects on someone. Otherwise something like marijuana should be legalized just as tobacco is. I'm not a drug advocate, I don't think they should be done at all, but if someone wants to ruin their lives by doing Coke, go ahead and let them kill themselves.
3. What do you think of the health care system in the country in which you reside?
DISGUSTING!!! Coming from Canada where I had great free health care, could go do the doctor whenever I needed, didn't have to worry about how much surgery would cost or anything, the health care system in this country (the US) is DISGUSTING! One of the major reasons we are contemplating moving back to Canada is because of the health care system. Right now, I don't even have health insurance because we simply cannot afford for the entire family to be on it, even when its offered through my husbands employer, and we make too much for me to qualify for assistance.
