Walmart is helping families find savings to add something more to man caves in the gameroom, garage and backyard. New savings include a $128 Magnavox Blue-Ray Disc Player, select Blu-ray movies two for $20, new video game bundles and handy tools to keep him entertained with new projects.

Walmart is also now the first retailer next to Dell to introduce the new smart-looking Dell Studio One 19” touch screen desktop, this is one of the newest additions to a redesigned Walmart electronics department.

We never generally do much for Mother’s Day, so I really don’t push the limits when it comes to Father’s Day either, but this year I really want to change that.

I’ve been wondering and thinking what to do for my hubby for Father’s Day and can’t come up with any real ideas. He’s a computer/cell phone geek and anything I can think of getting him just doesn’t seem like it would be enough or right. I could walk into a wholesale computers store and probably see a ton of things he would love to have, but I never know if it’s the right thing or not, so I keep searching for that perfect gift (besides the homemade ones from the girls).

What are doing for Father’s Day? What sorts of gifts do you plan on giving?

My girls recently found a love for fortune cookies a few months back. We don’t get to go out for Chinese food often as I have a food allergy that prohibits me going to Chinese restaurants or eating Chinese takeout. However our first trip to a Chinese buffet for a birthday dinner provided my girls with a world of new foods (to most of which they wouldn’t touch) as well as introduced them to the fortune cookie. Ever since then my parents have saved all their fortune cookies whenever they have Chinese just for the girls, and it’s a big treat for them they were always so excited to get them. I say they were always so excited because now, those little broken fortune cookies from takeout have no comparison to the fortune cookie that they got their eyes, hands and mouths on recently.
