Celtic Woman - Songs From The Heart...

Ok, I’m going to be blunt and honest here. I’m not the type of person who is ‘worldly’ with their music. I can’t sit here and lie to you and say I enjoy lots of different types of music, because honestly it’s very few and far between that I’ll like something that’s not hip hop, R&B, reggae or pop music. I can’t say that no matter what I’ll give it a try because honestly, I won’t. However, I was sent a CD called “Songs from the Heart” from Celtic Woman. I honestly have not listened to it, and can’t say that I will. More than likely, it’s a CD I’ll be giving to my mother since she’s a big Celtic music fan (*shudders* I can’t stand it!).

I have a wide range of readers, most of who I’m sure don’t have the same musical tastes as myself, so I strive to let you all know about things heck, even I might not be interested in but know my readers might. Celtic Woman is one of them.

About Celtic Woman:
Celtic Woman are an all-female vocal ensemble performing various traditional and contemporary Celtic-based songs. Often compared to such artists as Clannad, Enya, and Loreena McKennitt, Celtic Woman also put on a live stage show that shares much in common with similarly minded shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. A live performance by Celtic Woman was filmed for broadcast on PBS in 2004 and debuted a year later with an accompanying CD and DVD. The holiday-themed A Christmas Celebration appeared in 2006, with A New Journey following in 2007. As well as the group recordings, each member of Celtic Woman has released her own solo album. ~ Matt Collar, All Music Guide.
You can find out more about Celtic Woman by visiting their website on celticwoman.com. If this is your type of thing, they’re on tour and tickets are on sale right now, you can visit their website for tour details. Celtic Woman will also be on Live! With Regis & Kelly March 17, 2010.

I’m not that sheltered that I haven’t HEARD about Celtic Woman before, they’re pretty popular and have a lot of devoted fans, myself, I’m just not one of them. Celtic Woman’s Songs from the Heart album debuted at #9 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and #1 on the billboard World Music Chart.

You can purchase Songs From The Heart on Amazon.com.

I'm a little familiar. I love the song Ave Maria and listen to it often on YouTube. Whenever I do, the version done by one of the ladies in Celtic Woman comes up and I listen to it as well, and then browse thru/listen to some of their other songs. They are extremely talented.

I'm a Big Fan! They have great music that can be appreciated by a wide range of ages. Truly Beautiful and Inspiring Music

I've always loved the way they sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I love how high they can go without going sharp and how they harmonize with each other. My fav. one is Chloe. We got my papaw tickets to see them in the summer. :D I wish I could go.
