Ahh, the time of being a new mom, I remember it well. The happiness, the joys, the sadness, the stress, the frustration and the worry being a new mom brings both the good and bad things out all at the same time. From the doctor’s visits to the worry of our own health and the health of the baby, and then, once our kids grow from that sweet little baby to the toddler explorer we’re always worried about their safety and their health with all the different things they touch and put in and out of their mouth.
The spread of germs and illness is something that worries a new mom all the time, and especially this season with the new worry of the H1N1 flu on the way. We can however help and prevent the spread of those germs in our homes and bodies. The Clorox Company and the What to Expect foundation wants to give those tips to mom’s to keep a healthier home over the course of their child’s first five years.
With the development of the What To Expect Healthy Home Growth Chart you can find great tips such as:
• Disinfecting hard toys at 3 months
• Baby-proofing the house when they start walking around 1 year
• Removing allergens from stuffed animals for play dates starting at the age of 2
• Making hand washing and no-shoes a rule after coming in from playing outside around age 4
You can find this free download-able growth chart by clicking here. There’s some great tips and with this flu season looming upon us we could all use the extra reminders.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Clorox and the What to Expect Guide and received a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
