In this day and age almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer in one way or another be it with friends or family or even an acquaintance. It takes a toll not only on those with the disease but to those around them as well.
Helping those fighting with the disease to feel at ease with themselves is not always an easy task, but now there’s a great free program trying to help those with appearance related concerns that cancer treatment often gives. Look Good…Feel Better is using cancer survivors to help women who are currently undergoing treatment for cancer by inspiring them along the journey.
This is the 20th anniversary of Look Good…Feel Better and they’re asking for women who are cancer survivors for their help by educating others and submitting their stories of how the program helped them cope with cancer. All entries will be featured on the Women of Hope is Beautiful blog. Anyone can visit the site to view entries, make comments and show their support.
Look Good…Feel Better will choose five women in August with the most-compelling stories to receive a trip to New York City for a makeover and a trip to the DreamBall, a black-tie gala and the program’s largest annual fundraiser, held each year in New York City.
If you’re a cancer survivor or know of anyone who is, inspire someone who’s going through the same thing right now and submit your story for a chance to win in two ways.
