Honey Kix yum, yum, yum!

This house has a bunch of cereal fanatics! You can find usually 4 or more boxes of cereal in our pantry at a time, and all open as well. Between my husband and the girls, we run through cereal like crazy around this house, so when I had the opportunity to try a box of the new Honey Kix cereal I was ready for the challenge. Although my girls love cereal they’re ultra picky about it as well, and to be honest I wasn’t sure if they’d like the Honey Kix or not.

When we got the box in the mail we were pleasantly surprised to see a whole bunch of cool goodies to go along with it, this proved to get the girls in the spirit of trying this new cereal. We found not only a box of Honey Kix cereal, but as well a honey jar, a set of cute cereal bowls, a container to keep the cereal fresh, as well as a travel container to keep your milk and cereal separate (and cold) while on the go.

The girls wanted to try out the new things right away including the cereal so who was I to say no to that. I was a bit concerned about the cereal at first but I was surprised to find out it’s actually pretty healthy. Honey Kix is a great source of fiber, calcium and vitamin D; you can also find that it contains 16 grams of whole grain per serving and doesn’t have any artificial flavors or preservatives, knowing this made me pretty happy as we’re all eating healthier these days in our house.

Now I haven’t personally tried Honey Kix because well, it’s not good for my diet honestly, I refuse to even take a bite of things these days that aren’t in my plans for the week. That’s ok though, the cereal is really for the girls in my books.

The girls were really interested in how the honey jar worked, so we added some of our honey to the jar, and of course they wanted to add it to their cereal, so away we went adding honey to the cereal that already had honey in it… Oye my kids! I can say though, they really loved it! It’s been the cereal requested every morning so far for breakfast, and of course, they like adding the honey to it as well, but even without it, they’ve eaten it as a snack dry and just gobbled it up! Honey Kix is a thumbs up in our books!

WIN IT!!!

I clicked on the Ready 2 Rumble glove and it looks like a really cool game to play -- I don't have a Wii yet but when I get one - this will probably be my son's first game he wants to get as he too is a wrestling fanatic :)

I start my day with a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea, sometimes a glass of orange juice too. If I'm feeling really ambitious, maybe pancakes, but that's pretty rare. I love Kix and can't wait to try this new Honey Kix. Thank you for the chance to win.

I get my mornings off to a good start by getting a good nights sleep the night before. If I'm still wanting to stay in bed when the alarm goes off I'm dragging while I get dressed and don't even feel like breakfast which of course by lunchtime I've wished that I'd had.
