The last day of Fatty Fat Fat Gina...

Today is the last day of my old life, and tomorrow is the beginning of my new one. My last days of 2008 don't seem to be co-operating with me though, I feel like utter crap, it all started last night, that's the last thing I want is to bring in the new year sick, that can't be a good vibe!

I vow to do one thing today though, even though I'm not feeling that great, I'm going to get on that Wii Fit even if it's only for 10 minutes, as long as I do something besides lay on this couch wrapped up in a blanket all day.

Today isn't a day for food tracking and exercise worries though, that I'll leave till January 1st, although I'm going to try my hardest and still track whatever goes into my mouth today I am giving into one last craving for the year. WHITE CASTLE!!!!

It's New Years Eve!!!! My diet OFFICIALLY starts on the 1st but I got motivated yesterday to start changing. Today, I'm going to try to do the best I can, but tonight I'm giving into one of my last cravings... I've already told Rodney, I want to have White Castle for our New Years Eve Dinner since it will be my LAST time having icky fast food (I swear!), and I just CRAVE White Castle, so I figure get the craving out of my system and leave it behind in 2008....

This probably isn't the smartest idea, but I'm PMSing, I'm craving it, and I really truly want to leave fat disgusting Gina behind in 2008 and look into the future to a healthier and more confident Gina in 2009. So one last guilty pleasure doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me, 2008 has prepared me for a lot of things, and it disappointed me with some other, but 2009 is going to be a year of change for me and my family and I vow and swear to that starting with my own health....

Best of luck on your healthy change. I am going to be doing the same thing this year. Several years ago, I made the same resolution and lost 80 pounds over the following year. Since then, I had two more babies and some more medical issues that caused weight gain so I find myself in the "same boat" again. One tip I have regarding cravings, do not be afraid to give in just a little when they FIRST strike. So if you really want White Castle, have 1 and maybe split the fries or whatever (or have nothing else from there and have some baby carrots) with someone else. That keeps the craving from building and building until you cave in and eat 10 of them. If you are worried about having the self-control to stop at 1, just order 1 and then LEAVE the restaurant and do not eat it until you get home. Then it is more of a hassle to go get more. The cravings will eventually subside, and, believe it or not, it is very possible that you will no longer want them at all within a few months. That happened to me with McDonald's, I used to love it and now cannot stand it (though, I found "new" addictions during the pregnancies I need to now get rid of). ANyway, I wish you a happy and healty wonderful new year. Know you are not alone in your efforts and you have at least one cheerleader in the blogosphere.

Wishing you a Happy New Year and all the very best wishes for a healthy one too. I hope that you reach your ideal weight someday soon.

You are not alone in your weight loss journey. Just remember not to give up on yourself if you happen to slip up here and there. You are only human.

Don't deny yourself a White Castle hamburger. If you want one, have ONE. Just make an effort to excercise a little more and eat a bit more healthier to compansate for it.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!

Happy healthy eating and WiiFit exercising. I am still trying to figure out a time to do WiiFit, but know that I need to add it in. I am also trying to decide if I should join Weight Watchers online. After my oldest was born hubby and I did WW on our own and I love 60 pounds. Going back to work, the stress, and a second child packed the pounds on. I need to learn how to be active and not be tempted by the kitchen as a SAHM. I think the tools on Weight Watchers intrigue me and may help me more.

Happy New Year!
