Purry Logic

We are a house full of cat lovers. My husband wasn't one, at least until he met me, and now with two cats in the house, he's a lover just like me and my daughters. A really cute book for any cat lover out there is one called Purry Logic. This book is the fifth book in the Furry Logic series (which is also a very cute series check it out).

Ever wonder what's going on in your cat's brain? Wonder what they're thinking why they do what they do? Then Purry Logic is the book for you, with cute illustrations and smart witty captures with the pictures you'll be sure to be smiling as you turn the pages.Link
Jane Seabrook hits the nail right on the head with her books and Purry Logic is no exception when it comes to cats. With quotes such as “My only purpose in this life is to rest and recover from my previous lives”, or “When fat, arrange yourself in slim poses” you're sure to think of your own cat or know of someone who can appreciate the wonderful illustrations and quotes.

Our cat Gus is the sweetest cat ever. My girls dress him in doll clothes, ride him around in their bicycle basket and squeeze him tight at night as they fall asleep. He purrs the entire time and never complains!

I used to live in KY with my "grandmother" for a year, and I became close to her black cat, Sister. My first night there, Sister slid herself under my door and slept under my bed, and she got used to pawing at my door to sleep in my room most nights when she was too big to slide under the door. She also got used to my alarm. She understood 1)Alarm goes off, 2)I reach across to turn it off, 3) I open the door so she can go eat and such. So anytime I tried to continue sleeping after turning off my alarm, she'd rub against and chew on my hand and meow until I got up. She was my snooze button. LoL.

For some reason, my cat chooses to sleep in the middle of the room outside of my bedroom. No matter what time, day or night, the minute the light comes on in my room he comes running in meowing and purring.

We have 4 cats. Kolby is my baby. He can't sleep at night without "nursing". He cries until I pick him up and then he'll suck on my ear until he falls asleep.

Our cats have such different personalities. Dave is very easy going, while Faya is definitely the more aggressive one. Now that it is cold outside, I often find them curled up together. Faya is always laying across Dave to keep her warm (yes, Dave is a girl ~ my kids named her before we knew). She definitely is the caretaker & takes her role as big sister seriously.

A friend had some people over one day. The cat was fine with us for some time, then he started acting strangely. If a cat could be said to be stomping through the room, this one was. He'd go through one way, then back the other. Finally my friend got it -- she usually had a snack in the afternoon and she would give Spooner a dollop of Cheez Whiz when she got her snack out. Spooner was annoyed that his snack time was being delayed because she had guests. She gave him the Cheez Whiz and everything was fine.

I have a cat rescued from a shelter. I believe he was abused in his previous home. He doesn't like my husband at all. One day my husband was asleep on the couch. The cat jumped up on the back. He looked down and saw who was on the couch. He couldn't run fast enough to get away. LOL LOL

my sister opened and stuck her hand into the bread drawer at my house. She shrieked when instead of a loaf of bread she touched a warm furry body! My cat likes secluded dark places, and had managed to open a cabinet door and climb over its wall to the bread drawer!

Shelley K. said...

Our kitty is just a little love. She loves to "knead the bread" on our laps. She follows us around like a puppy and runs to the door when the doorbell rings (but then promptly runs up the stairs as soon as anyone comes up the stairs because she is REALLY shy!!) Around us, though, she is a monkey. She flies through the air chasing her toys and is all around just a joy to have. Cats are great and I hope to win this.

We just recently had to put my cat to sleep after having her for 14 years but there was something that she use to do that was funny and scary at the same time. I would be carrying my cup of coffee up the stairs and here she would be stalking me up the stairs. She would sneak up to me and nip my ankles. So I would have to watch for her every minute. Thank you!

Well I had to leave my cat at home when I got married and moved out, but whenever I call my mom and leave a message on the machine he starts talking to me, thinking I'm there. I feel bad leaving a message because it confuses him, but sometimes I call and my mom puts him on the phone. What can i say...my cat and I are close :)

My cat is addicted to pork products. I swear she says "ham", not meow, when she smells it cooking in the kitchen. She loves all pork...bacon, pork chops, tenderloin...she begs like a dog on her two back legs. It's so funny.

We have adopted the local stray whom we named Charlie and I kid you not, he knocks the door for food - which freaks me out at times, but I'm getting used to it now.

My 2 cats love to carry stuff around the house and then bring it upstairs to our bedroom (aka "their den"). Well, I had my big fuzzy hat out to wear in the cold weather a couple of nights ago. I left it downstairs and went up to bed. Later that night, my husband elbows me and says, hey check it out... yes, my big fuzzy hat was walking across the bedroom floor and right into the kitty cat tower of cubes. It was hilarious. Aparently the little boy cat wanted to snuggle up with the hat for the night.

I got my first cats in an odd way. A cat showed up on my doorstep with a kitten in her mouth. I opened the door and she came in and went to the basement closet like she'd been living there her whole life and put down the kitten. I followed and watched her leave and come back two more times with two more kittens, holding the door open for her every time she needed to come and go. That was over 10 years ago and "Mama" and one of her sons are still part of the family.

I have beautiful dark blue slippers and when my daughter's cat was a kitten she kept trying to drag these through the cat door to the outside porch. They were bigger than her but she was in love with them!

My cat likes to take a bath in the sink when I'm brushing my teeth or washing my face. He loves to put his little paws under the running water and then washes himself. It looks like I was able to teach him good hygiene.
Thanks for the very nice giveaway.

Our cat got angry once when we left to go on vacation. I had one of my friends take care of her. The cat knocked over pictures of my kids and pooped on them She also used the bathroom sink as a toilet! Disgusting. rosans4@comcast.net

My daughter's cat licks her eyelids in the morning to wake her up and it bats at her eyelashes. She seems to think that's pretty cute!

We used to have a cat that was so mean we had a "Beware of Cat" sign on the door. People would laugh...until they met him! Anyone that came in the house he would chase out, teeth bared. Yet with us, he was the sweetest kitty ever!

Well I have 2 cats that got attached to me and my 2 kids when I house sat for my sister when she was in Kosovo for a year, she had 3 cats and one dog, the black cat got so attached to my son that he refused to eat or go in the house after we moved out, the other one was so happy to be reunited with us she wagged her tail like a dog for a week after we got them to our new apartment, she will quit what ever she is doing and come running whenever she hears me or someone on the tv singing, she almost looks like she is trying to dance.

I'm not sure why my first post didn't go through, so I'll try again with a different story.

I have a three month old kitten that I found curled up in some weeds alongside a busy highway. She is sweet most of the time, but sometimes she starts to play really rough, so I have a stuffed caterpillar that I give her. She grabs a big mouthful of the caterpillar, hugs him with her front legs, and kicks him with her back legs, all while jumping and somersaulting. One time, she rolled off the bed and then jumped right back on, still holding the caterpillar, which is almost as big as she is. It's funny to watch, but a little scary, too.
