The Ultimate Tea Diet with Dr. Tea

So, on my path to a healthier me, of course I've run across so many different diets out there that claim to help you on your way to a healthy weight. Most of them, are just not something I could do, they're just too hard to keep up with, and something that is a drastic change from my overall eating habits (the good ones anyways).

When I found out about The Ultimate Tea Diet, i was intrigued. I love tea and am an avid tea drinker, be it caffeinated, or decaf, herbal, or black, just give me some tea and I'm a happy camper. I bet the first thing you think of when you hear The Ultimate Tea Diet, is that it's a diet where you simply drink tea all day and your weight will disappear. Right?.....WRONG!

Thankfully Mark "Dr. Tea" Ukra, the author of The Ultimate Tea Diet focuses on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle which includes diet and exercise while adding to it, the consumption of tea. Said to be one of the hottest diets of 2008 by Dr. Ian Smith's, The Ultimate Tea Diet will claims to help you lose weight by the three main ingredients in the tea: caffeine (stimulates), L-theanine (appetite suppressant), and EGCG (helps burn fat faster and more efficiently).

To combat the cravings that may come along while on your new diet and lifestyle, Dr. Tea has come along with some really great tasting Craving Teas. With flavors such as Candy Bar, Blueberry Pie, Pina Colada, Chocolate Cream Pie (my fav), and many more, these really do set those cravings to the side and satisfy them. I can speak for myself when I say these tea's are just GREAT! They also come in two forms, either in the tea bag, or you can have them in the loose leaf form.

I'm still reading my book, and plan to actually follow the entire diet through (once we hit our next grocery trip). It is a pretty basic low fat, high fiber, low carb diet where you just add some tea! There is also a 14-day meal plan that is provided for some help along with some recipes, this is very helpful for one just starting out, or if your like me need that extra help and push to get started on something new. Even if your not into going right into a new diet, the book is a great read for any tea lover. Mark Urkra gives some great tips on the 'art' of making a great cup of tea, and the book has many different quotes about tea, and some information about the different types of tea available.

Visit the Dr. Tea's Tea Garden website for more information. You can also visit Tea Tips with Dr. Tea and watch a 3 minute video podcast hosted by Dr. Tea as he explains the different varieties of tea, the health benefits and the secrets of the world of tea. There's a new podcast every week, check it out!

Win The Ultimate Tea Diet book along with a Craving Tea Sampler: Mark Urkra has offered my readers a great giveaway, you can win a copy of The Ultimate Tea Diet as well as a Craving Tea Sampler in either the loose leaf tea, or the tea bags samples (your choice). All you have to do is follow the guidelines below to be entered to win. We will be giving away 3 of these packages to 3 lucky winners.

Just received my book today. I like tea, but honestly, tea will never make up for the real thing when it comes to deserts. I will try this Ultimate Tea diet, but no, I will not be drinking banana split tea, etc, now or ever. I want my tea to taste like tea and a candy bar to be the real thing once in a while....why ruin a good thing? Cheers to y'all and good luck for those doing the diet.
